Mo is a serial entrepreneur, gaming addict, interactive 3D passionate and one of the biggest fans of Real Madrid FC and San Francisco 49rs. Baha is the IT brain behind Mixed Dimensions. Those two guys have a big vision to lead the 3D digital content creation and printing revolution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>With the closing of a <span class=\"s3\">$<\/span><span class=\"s1\">4.3M round, surely they are on the right track to make their dreams true. This gives them a good position to compete with Netfabb and the others players who try to streamline the printing process.<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"s3\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"s3\">In just three years MX3D grow into a team <\/span><span class=\"s1\">of 30 <\/span><span class=\"s3\">employees,<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> mainly based in Jordan with an office in San Francisco. Their flagship products are Gameprint.io &amp; Makeprintable.com. The former allows users to get 3D printable models of their gameplay, while the later automatically prepares 3D files for 3D printing.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-76289 size-large\" style=\"line-height: 1.5;\" src=\"https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Capture-d\u2019e\u0301cran-2016-04-14-a\u0300-09.36.34-1024x394.png\" alt=\"Capture d\u2019e\u0301cran 2016-04-14 a\u0300 09.36.34\" width=\"1024\" height=\"394\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s3\"><br \/>\nOn<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> <\/span><span class=\"s3\">March 31<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, MXD3D closed a <span class=\"s3\">$<\/span><span class=\"s1\">4.3M round from <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s1\">Silicon Badia and Zaid Ayoub, the early backers, along with Dolby Venture, DFJ Athena and Alsop Louie Partners, joining them on the round. This brings the total tally raised since inception to $5M. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Makeprintable aims to repair broken 3D files to make them printable. I&#8217;m not surprised that it&#8217;s one of the first app to find its place on the Thingiverse Developers&#8217; API as the Makerbot platform hosts significant number of non-printable files. Wondering how MakePrintable stands compare to Meshlab, MiniMagics, and Netfabb, I tried to heal my favorite broken file and that&#8217;s what I get:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-76427\" src=\"https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/comparison-1024x448-1-1-1024x448.jpg\" alt=\"MakePrintableBeta\" width=\"1024\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/comparison-1024x448-1-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/comparison-1024x448-1-1-770x337.jpg 770w, https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/comparison-1024x448-1-1-200x88.jpg 200w, https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/comparison-1024x448-1-1-500x219.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Overall, not a bad result. On this particular file, Netfabb produced a superior repaired file.
