This is further proof that the adoption rate of additive is growing rapidly and we\u2019re proud to partner with Oerlikon<\/em>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Roland Fischer, CEO of Oerlikon adds, <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Developing innovative technology is key to our growth strategy. We look forward to partnering with GE Additive, Concept Laser and Arcam on innovative materials and machines which will strengthen our position in additive manufacturing, and allows us to meet the growing demand for additive components in a variety of industries.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The terms of the MoU include the following, <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GE Additive and its affiliated companies will be preferred suppliers of additive manufacturing machines to Oerlikon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oerlikon will become a GE Additive preferred component manufacturer and a materials supplier to GE Additive and its affiliated companies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oerlikon and GE Additive will collaborate on machine and materials R&amp;D.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier this year <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oerlikon announced plans to build <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a $55 million <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3D printing facility<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in North Carolina.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For all the latest news about the 3D printing industry, <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">subscribe to our free newsletter<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
