Screenshot of SOLIDWORKS CAD via CAD Micro on Twitter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According Hargurdeep Singh, Additive Manufacturing Consultant at CAD MicroSolutions, the company is &#8220;thrilled to be part of Canada Makes and play a significant role in Canada\u2019s Industry 4.0 and Additive Manufacturing sector.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Singh adds that CAD Micro&#8217;s role will be as an &#8220;Innovation Enabler&#8221;, providing Canada Makes partners with simulation software and training. The firms particular expertise is with the award winning Markforged range of 3D printers, HP&#8217;s Multi Jet Fusion technology and the DragonFly 2020 from Nano Dimension.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Z3DFAB brings EOS meltpool analysis to East Asia for the first time<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with its French counterpart Z3DLAB, and semi-conductor specialist HS HI-TECH, Z3DFAB has installed EOSTATE MeltPool technology into its facility in Korea. Photo by Michael Petch.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Nano Dimension expands 3D printer distribution network across Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Leading French 3D printer distributor CADvision has become a partner of Nano Dimension Technologies Ltd. In the partnership, CADvision has agreed to distribute the DragonFly 2020 electronics 3D printer across France, Belgium and Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thales Group open additive facility in Casablanca<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Multinational aerospace company Thales Group  has announced the opening of an R&amp;D center in Casablanca, the capital of Morocco. The facility currently contains two selective laser melting (SLM) metal 3D printers, and is operated by around 20 engineers. Eventually, the 1000 square meter center will be installed with a further six systems to ramp up production capacity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A*STAR launch initiative to boost 3D printing in Singapore<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Singapore&#8217;s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), that started in 2013, has announced the launch of its Tech Access Initiative that will provide technical training and advice to SMEs looking to adopt 3D printing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CollPlant agrees on $5 million bio boost<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regenerative medicine materials developer CollPlant, that recently set up a specialist division to produce 3D printer bioink, has signed an agreement with a U.S. investor for the receipt of a $5 million private placement. The deal will be completed upon CollPlant&#8217;s successful listing on the NASDAQ exchange.
