(PSI), Sciaky is the manufacturer of the EBAM metal 3D printing system. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bob Phillips, Vice President of Sciaky, Inc. said, \u201cSciaky is honored to receive this prestigious award from the U.S. Department of Commerce. We are proud to be an American company that exports innovative technology all across the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cE\u201d Award was first created by an Executive Order of the President in 1961. It is awarded to, \u201cpersons, firms, or organizations that contribute significantly in the effort to increase United States exports, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and work of broad impact.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Winners of the award <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">can \u201cdisplay a blue and white banner, issue employees an \u201cE\u201d or \u201cE Star\u201d lapel pin, and to refer to the award in their advertising\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_109961\" style=\"width: 665px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-109961\" src=\"https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/EBDM_Illustration-web.jpg\" alt=\"Illustration of Sciaky's EBAM process. Image via Sciaky.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>Growing international trade in 3D printing systems<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier this year Sciaky <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced their first order for an EBAM system<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from a customer located in the Asia-Pacific region. The order is due for delivery in January 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Existing customers include Airbus who have used <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sciaky\u2019s metal 3D printing systems to make parts including <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a titanium spar part which forms the main skeletal structure of a wing<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sciaky\u2019s EBAM additive manufacturing system can be used to 3D print components anywhere from 8 inches (203 mm) to 19 feet (5.79 meters) in length. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The EBAM system has a gross deposition rate that ranges between seven to 20 lbs. (3.18 to 9.07 kg) of metal per hour.
