As a proof of concept, it has been used to construct a custom 3D printer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ajay Agarwal, a partner at <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bain Capital Ventures<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who led this funding round, said, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe company couldn\u2019t be in a stronger position to seize an enormous market opportunity, and we\u2019re excited to help Vention become a leader in the industrial equipment category.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAs an active investor in robotics and automation, we\u2019ve witnessed the convergence of collaborative robotics, increasing automation, and a growing need for speed and agility in today\u2019s modern manufacturing world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UwOcLjQZpCU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>MachineBuilder 3D<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2016, Vention aims to change the way companies design and order their industrial equipment. With the MachineBuilder 3D software, customers can design conveyors, workstations, <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">collaborative robots<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cobots)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and other assemblies, which are constructed from Vention&#8217;s hardware library. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Vention is also the first and only combined software and hardware platform certified to make assemblies for Universal Robots, a Danish manufacturer of industrial cobot arms.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to developing MachineBuilder 3D, Vention plans to expand its modular hardware library to bring the &#8220;next wave of plug-and-play factory automation solutions to market&#8221;. The company also intends to upgrade a second platform which focuses on integrating new features.
