The company stated:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;MakeShaper and KVP share common denominators in that all filaments are engineered, tested, and manufactured in the USA. Image via Keene Village Plastics.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Specialized 3D printed filaments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With 15 years of experience in materials development, KVP describes itself as a &#8220;one-stop shop for 3D printing materials&#8221;. As well as its services for creating specialized filament in a maximum of 15lbs spools, the company manufactures thermoplastic welding rods and spools. Its manufacturing facility located in Barberton, Ohio, features completely customized extrusion lines combined with in-house tooling capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>ABS, PETG, PEEK, Nylon, PLA, Polycarbonate, and HIPS are some of the filaments KVP produces. MakeShaper, based in North Carolina prior to this acquisition, also specializes in manufacturing such 3D printing materials. The company is made up of a small team of scientists, engineers and creatives professionals.<\/p>\n<p>MakeShaper focuses on clients such as maker labs, hobbyist, schools, as well as STEM and STEAM programs. KVP will not only support the ongoing work from MakeShaper, but access such clients to further cater to the consumers and makers in desktop 3D printing.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, KVP, then known as Village Plastics, was acquired by 3D Systems.
