The move is the latest in a series of 3D printing deals made by the company in the last few years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commenting in relation to the new shares, the company stated, \u201cThis bolsters Bossard\u2019s proven expertise in supporting customers from the design phase all the way to the production of complex metal and plastic parts. In addition, Bossard is an innovative partner when it comes to selecting the most suitable 3D printers and associated manufacturing technologies.&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Swiss 3D metal printing expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ecoparts has<\/span> 9 years experience in additive manufacturing. As a services, it<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides a range <\/span>3D metal and plastic printing services, using SLM, SLS, FFF, laminated object modelling (LOM) and cold gas spraying.<\/p>\n<p>These technologies enable the company to create tools, prototypes, lightweight components, finished parts and hybrid constructions, which it produces using 8 metal additive machines, including two EOS M270&#8217;s, one EOS M280 and five EOS M290&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex-video widescreen youtube\"><iframe width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1ej1eThm10g?feature=oembed&#038;showinfo=0&#038;rel=0&#038;modestbranding=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><strong>Broadening the Bossard 3D printing portfolio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bossard&#8217;s 30% stake in Ecoparts was bought from the company&#8217;s two founders who, until now jointly controlled a 50% share between them. The vonRoll infratec-Group, <\/span>one of Switzerland\u2019s longest-established industrial companies, and maker of electrical applications such as power generation, transmissions and storage<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, owns the other 50 percent and plans on retaining it for the long term.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Previously, in the fall of 2018, Bossard acquired <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">49%<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of 3d-prototyp GmbH, a Swiss expert in the additive manufacturing of complex plastic parts and models. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In March of the same year, Bossard <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">became a reseller<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TRUMPF<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s laser metal fusion (LMF) and laser metal deposition (LMD) machines, which includes the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TRUMPF\u2019s TruPrint 5000<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, the group has signed <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">two distribution contracts<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, one with 3D printer and material manufacturer <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">German RepRap<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and another with German chemical producer <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Henkel<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collectively these acquisitions and partnerships give Bossard the distribution rights to four different 3D printing technologies: laser metal fusion, laser metal deposition, FDM, and stereolithography.
