The printed floor was able to support over 4,000lb (more than 1,800kg), which exceeds key building standards set by the US Dep<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\">art<\/a>ment of Housing and Urban Development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">P<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\">art<\/a> of the team\u2019s motivation is to be able to utilize \u201cdirty\u201d plastic \u2013 recyclable materials that don\u2019t require cleaning or pre-processing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe key here is: We recycle dirty plastic into building products for homes that are lighter, more durable, and sustainable,\u201d explained Perez. \u201cWe are st<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\">art<\/a>ing to crack the code on the ability to process and print really dirty plastic.
