The new ViliaSprint\u00b2 project is now underway in Bezannes. The building is part<\/a> of a social housing project, a major trend in construction additive manufacturing.<\/p>\n

Built using the BOD2 construction 3D printer from COBOD, ViliaSprint\u00b2 shows that 3D concrete printing is no longer a speculative experiment but a tangible construction reality. In tandem with Plurial Novilia, this undertaking introduces an epochal shift in public housing fabrication.<\/p>\n

The social housing experts at Plurial Novilia, a subsidiary of the Action Logement group, are collaborating with Socotec to implement a building project constructed using 3D printing<\/a>. The 12-unit building has two floors and a load-bearing structure printed directly on site in concrete, a first in France. The project focuses on economic accessibility, environment<\/a>al conscience, and forward-leaning building methodology.<\/p>\n

The concrete blend, crafted by Holcim, offers more than foundational stability\u2014it bears a significantly diminished carbon footprint, slashing CO\u2082 emissions by 30% in contrast to orthodox recipes. This custom material was developed to sustain load-bearing demands<\/p>\n

By employing the comprehensive 3D printing<\/a> ecosystem coupled with the massive COBOD BOD2 contruction 3D printing<\/a> system, PERI 3D Construction is building structural walls where the edifice is destined to stand.<\/p>\n

This architectural creation will cradle a dozen domiciles designed for social occupancy, unfurling across three stories and enveloping 800 square meters of habitable dimension. The printing process has commenced and is scheduled to be completed by June 2025, with a ceremonial handover anticipated in the first quart<\/a>er of 2026.<\/p>\n
