Triditive and Foxconn will now work together on further scaling the AM platform\u2019s automated manufacturing capabilities, marking a very important milestone and significant achievement for the Asturian st<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a>up led by CEO Mariel Diaz.<\/p>\n<p>Binder jetting technology is a powder bed, sinter-based additive manufacturing process. The process consists in the selective deposition of binder, through to an \u2018inkjet\u2019 head on a bed of metal (or ceramic powders). Triditive\u2019s experience with bound metal extrusion, also a sinter-based process, will help Foxconn compete in a segment that already sees giants such as HP, GE and Desktop Metal involved in a race to market.<\/p>\n<p>What differentiates this methodology from others on the market is the scalability of production and the reduction of costs in the manufacture of metal p<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a>s, making it more attractive for scaling AM adoption. However metal binder jetting development for high throughput p<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a>s production has been slowed down by many challenges, relating primarily to the sintering process.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/5908080512571787188.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\">   AMCELL systems from Triditive.   <\/p>\n<p>For the development of the \u2018binders\u2019, Triditive will be collaborating with Tecnalia, a research and technological development center located in the Basque Country of Spain. Although it is known as a major adopter of AM technologies for tooling and prototyping, this is the first time that the manufacturing giant makes a direct reference to <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/service\/3d-printing-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3D printing<\/a> and internally developed <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/service\/3d-printing-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3D printing<\/a> equipment. The company is likley considering implementing some <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/service\/3d-printing-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3D printing<\/a> in production as means to reduce high-labor intensive tasks and increasingly automate its production capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding this new production system, Triditive has a patent in Spain for automated machinery, as well as leadership in additive manufacturing at an international level.
