The campaign is supported by The Barnes Global Advisors (TBGA) and aims to demonstrate A3D\u2019s technology as capable of repeatedly producing printed material that meets draft SAE International <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/aerospace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aerospace<\/a> standards AMS7039 and AMS7032.<\/p>\n<p>Upon successful completion, this will enable A3D to be one of the first additive equipment companies compliant to print metal p<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a>s to these <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/aerospace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aerospace<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/service\/3d-printing-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3D printing<\/a> standards, once approved. The p<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a>s produced will undergo various radiographic, metallurgical, <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/mechanics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mechanic<\/a>al and chemical testing that are essential quality indicators, including density, tensile, and fatigue properties. Results must be shown to be repeatable and consistent across the 4 phases for the campaign to be deemed successful. Separate to the testing requirements, Aurora aims to complete the campaign within 3 months.<\/p>\n<p>The draft standards are being developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/aerospace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aerospace<\/a> AM experts under the SAE International Aerospace Materials Specifications, Additive Manufacturing \u2013 Metals (AMSAM-M) committee.
