Last week we exclusively reported that Sinterit revealed the new Lisa X \u2013 its 3rd generation compact SLS<\/a> 3D printer. The new system presented as the fastest compact SLS<\/a> 3D printer in Sinterit\u2018s offer, built for agility and productivity, made its official debut at Formnext.<\/p>\n

After more than five years of producing reliable compact SLS<\/a> 3D printers, Sinterit introduced the Lisa X as its most efficient and fast solution, with industrial level sintering speed in a compact package. Printing time is up to ten times faster than the previous Lisa PRO model.<\/p>\n

\u201cDespite the pandemic, we are growing rapidly. After more than five years on the market, and getting countless customer feedback, for the first time we have launched two major products in one year. In September we entered the industrial market with NILS 480, and now we are presenting Lisa X. Third generation of compact SLS<\/a> 3D printer made to speed up your innovation,\u201d said Maxime Polesello, Sinterit\u2019s CEO. \u201cWe are still focused on delivering the whole SLS<\/a> 3D printing<\/a> solution, to make additive manufacturing useful and meaningful. With Lisa X this experience will be even better\u2014faster prints and bigger print volume answers the most common demands of the market,\u201d Polesello added.<\/p>\n

How fast is Lisa X?<\/h2>\n

With a build speed of 10-14 mm\/h for the PA12 material, Lisa X is the fastest compact SLS<\/a> 3D printer in Sinterit\u2019s offer. The full print volume could be printed in 30 hours, while most prints could be ready in less than 24 hours. The \u201cnext day prototyping\u201d usability was one of the milestones that compact SLS<\/a> 3D printers manufacturers needed to achieve to meet the expectations of the users of other rapid prototyping technologies like FDM<\/a> or SLA<\/a>. Now, with high-speed Lisa X, they could get more printed elements per week, more tested designs. It means less time spent on waiting for the results and more time for improving the designs themselves. It also accelerates the time-to-market of new products and decreases prototyping costs.<\/p>\n

How big is Lisa X?<\/h2>\n

The usable area, which is also the build size, measures 130 x 170 x 330 mm (5.1 x 7.1 x 13.0 in).<\/p>\n

For example with electric connectors: previously, with Lisa, it was possible to print 56 sets in 103 hours. On the Lisa PRO the total grew to 112 sets in 205 hours, while Lisa X gives you the possibility to print as many as 270 sets in just 28 hours.<\/p>\n

For prototyping of larger bigger part<\/a>s, Sinterit showed a model measuring 138 x 123 x 74 mm. The original Lisa would not have enough space to print it in one piece while the Lisa PRO has the possibility to print one part<\/a> in about 69.9 hours. With Lisa X it is possible to print two interactions of the model in just 21.5 hours.<\/p>\n

Optimal printing time<\/h2>\n

A larger volume and faster printing time result in optimal printing costs. As more prints and tests could be performed in just one run, less powder and energy<\/a> are used. Materials are easy to change and cleaning the printer doesn\u2019t force the user to wait for the printer to be used. Sinterit is also known for having one of the best powder refresh ratios on the market, which means that users don\u2019t have to add a lot of fresh powder to make new prints. They can just reuse the powder that wasn\u2019t sintered during printing, which is both more economical and ecological at once.<\/p>\n

Lisa X is also equipped with a special airblade which enables more efficient preparation for printing. Instead of cleaning laser glass each time before printing, the airblade cleans it automatically during printing. It only means the user needs to clean the laser glass after 3 print cycles, not after each one.<\/p>\n

A healthy heritage<\/h2>\n

Lisa X offers everything that was previously available in Sinterit\u2019s offer. Start<\/a>ing from Sinterit\u2019s recognized high printout quality: high precision, sharp edges, and repeatable dimensions. Typical benefits of SLS<\/a> technology, such as no need for supporting structures, smooth surfaces, and the ability to print movable part<\/a>s are also still on the table. Sinterit was always known for providing an open environment<\/a>, a must have for education<\/a>al and research application<\/a>s. WIth the Lisa X users can modify 32 parameters within sections including printing temperature, warmup and cooldown, laser power, laser movement or model scale.<\/p>\n
