The expanded DDX ecosystem includes a redesigned version of the Bondtech DDX for Creality; two new Copperhead Bimetallic Heat Breaks for multiple Creality models, born from a co-development effort by the two companies; a new 300\u00b0C thermistor from Slice Engineering; and a custom Marlin version by Bondtech to support top end DDX users.<\/p>\n<p>The Creality range eligible for the upgrade included the Ender-3 family, Ender-5 family, CR-10 and CR-10 Max, CR-10S family, CR-10S Pro and Pro v2. Immediately available, the whole DDX and extended Copperhead product ranges enable owners of most Creality models to upgrade to Direct Drive and Bondtech Dual Drive Technology; opt to use the stock Creality fans, hotends, heaters and thermistors; upgrade the hotends with Copperhead or Mosquito, and upgrade the heaters and thermistors with units from Slice Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Bondtech DDX for Creality, we empower users to st<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a> with a solid and reliable direct drive base setup \u2013 using many stock p<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a>s like both fans, heater, thermistor and hotend \u2013 and deliver a clear upgrade path with Copperhead\u2122 or Mosquito\u2122 hotends and Slice Engineering thermistors and heaters,\u201d said Nuno Santiago, Product Manager at Bondtech.<\/p>\n<p>   <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/5909656771296309568.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\">  <\/p>\n<p>The Bondtech DDX upgrade path develops in 4 distinct phases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PH1 \u2013 users upgrade the extruder and keep using the stock hotend.<\/li>\n<li>PH2 \u2013 users upgrade the extruder plus the heat break and hot block using Copperhead\u2122.<\/li>\n<li>PH3 \u2013 users upgrade the extruder and the hotend, using full Copperhead\u2122 (screw mount) and Mosquito\u2122 or Mosquito\u2122 Magnum hotends.<\/li>\n<li>PH4 \u2013 users upgrade the extruder, hotend, thermistor and heater, and utilize a custom firmware along the new 24v 50W heater and 300\u00b0C<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new Copperhead Heat Breaks from Slice Engineering allow users to follow Phase 2 of the DDX upgrade path, by improving the hotend without replacing the whole unit (the stock heat sink is retained).
