The 3D printer leverages the company\u2019s existing multi-material PolyJet <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/service\/3d-printing-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3D printing<\/a> technology to produce 3D printed anatomical models that are ultra-realistic in terms of feel, responsiveness and bio<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/mechanics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mechanic<\/a>s. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The 3D printer will enable <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/medical\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">medical<\/a> professionals to produce increasingly accurate anatomical models that can be used for surgical planning and <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/medical\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">medical<\/a> training. Traditionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/medical\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">medical<\/a> training has relied on the use of cadavers, animals or standardized models. More recent solutions, such as virtual reality models, have offered advances in the field of <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/medical\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">medical<\/a> training but have still presented limitations. Having the ability to produce realistic 3D models made from materials that mimic the feel and responsiveness of the human body could therefore offer several advantages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe believe in the potential of <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/service\/3d-printing-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3D printing<\/a> to provide better health care, and the Digital Anatomy 3D Printer is a major step forward,\u201d said Eyal Miller, Stratasys Healthcare Business Unit Head. \u201cWe\u2019re giving surgeons a more realistic training <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/environment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">environment<\/a> in no-risk settings.
