AMFG has entered a new part<\/a>nership with leading product development and prototyping company AME-3D. Through the implementation of AMFG\u2019s MES and workflow automation software, AME-3D will continue to reinforce its core operations \u2013 laying down essential foundations to further scale its production.<\/p>\n

AME-3D has been providing expert design and prototyping services for 26 years \u2013 excelling part<\/a>icularly within the specialist niche of vacuum casting for production, alongside RIM casting. The company offers several 3D printing<\/a> services, with expertise in SLA<\/a>, and SLS<\/a> AM for rapid prototyping and low-volume production, and has recently invested in three more AM machines. AME-3D supplies a diverse client base that varies from small start<\/a>ups to large enterprises \u2013 bridging a multitude of industries. Recently, AME-3D received significant financial investment \u2013 sparking a new bout of development and opening up further paths for expansion.<\/p>\n

Upon receiving the financial backing, AME-3D identified MES and workflow software as a strategic investment \u2013 offering a means to mature and scale its manufacturing processes. Specifically, the company sought to improve its quotation speed by reducing manual input \u2013 making it simpler for their present employees to manage higher RFQ volumes and accelerate quotation throughput. To increase efficiency, AME-3D searched for a software solution that was aligned with the company\u2019s goals.<\/p>\n

AMFG\u2019s quotation automation feature enabled a reduction in labor time and afforded firmer control over quotation quality. Additionally, AMFG\u2019s digital catalog functionality allowed AME-3D\u2019s customers to order from a list of preconfigured CAD files \u2013 reducing the need for client input and establishing a notably simplified buying journey.<\/p>\n

Following the agreement, AME-3D and AMFG have worked closely towards software implementation \u2013 including an intensive process of dissecting the company\u2019s business framework and configuring the software to maximize its application<\/a>\u2019s benefits. The company is already noticing operational improvements thanks to the easing of previously time-consuming and high-effort tasks.<\/p>\n

Alongside conventional 3D printing<\/a> application<\/a>s traditionally catered for by AMFG, AME-3D has incorporated vacuum casting \u2013 an offering that has experienced a burst in popularity within the company over the past year \u2013 within its solution.<\/p>\n

\u201cAMFG has a lot of capability packed into the software. I was specifically looking for a solution that enabled faster quoting, an online quoting platform, and production management, and AMFG has all of these,\u201d said Rich Proctor, Managing Director of AME Group, \u201cI have benefitted a lot from the speed at which the support team at AMFG reply to queries. There is more that we can do with the software as we get further into the integrations with other part<\/a>s of our business too. Strategically, I could see that growing AME-3D would be an easier task when we were building on a platform that offers clarity, control, and consistency.\u201d<\/p>\n
