Alexander Schmitz is now effectively the CEO of GE Additive. GE appointed Alexander Schmitz as the CEO of GE Additive last December with the role effective as of January 16, 2023. He will be based in Munich, Germany, and will report to GE Additive\u2019s current chief executive, Riccardo Procacci, who takes on an expanded leadership role at GE Aerospace.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m excited to start<\/a> a new chapter by joining GE as CEO of GE Additive,\u201d Alexander Schmitz wrote in a post on LinkedIn. \u201cMy special thanks in part<\/a>icular to Larry Culp and Riccardo Procacci and your team for your confidence and trust in offering me this outstanding opportunity. Also, thank you to my new colleagues for the warm welcome and the great conversations we\u2019ve had during my first few days. Alexander Schmitz brings extensive experience in operations, product development, manufacturing, and leadership of global teams. He was most recently CEO of FlexLink, and previously held senior leadership and engineering positions during a 20-year career at Bosch. He is a mechanic<\/a>al engineer, and a graduate of Aachen University, in Germany.<\/p>\n

GE Additive will be part<\/a> of a portfolio of four independent businesses within GE Aerospace, led by Riccardo Procacci, that includes GE Additive, Avio Aero, Dowty Propellers and Unison Industries \u2013 all of which are characterized by a strong brand identity and direct access to market.<\/p>\n
