The organizers of Formnext Chicago have secured letters of intent from 20 companies to exhibit at Formnext Chicago, which will be held on 8-10 April, 2025, at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois. These companies represent some of the world\u2019s premier providers of additive manufacturing technologies, as well as start<\/a>up companies launching new materials solutions. Confirmed exhibitors include EOS, Desktop Metal, Autodesk, HP, Zeiss, Mazak, Markforged, 3DEO, 3D Systems, Oqton, Baker Industries, Dyndrite, Hybrid Manufacturing Technologies, Massivit 3D, nTopology, Velo3D, Carpenter Technology, Trumpf, Ingersoll Machine Tools, and America Makes.<\/p>\n

\u201cFormnext Chicago will truly capture the entire spectrum of AM-related technologies, creating a unique experience at a familiar destination,\u201d said Douglas K. Woods, president of The Association For Manufacturing Technology (AMT). \u201cThe initial exhibiting companies represent an additive value chain that start<\/a>s with materials, moves through design and control software, production and post-production equipment, service providers, and metrology.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur team had direct conversations with many of the top additive suppliers in the world at IMTS,\u201d said Rick Kline Jr., president of Gardner Business Media (GBM). \u201cAnd the feedback we received across the board was extremely positive. People are excited about the breadth and depth of audience reach and technical understanding that our three organizations [Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, AMT, and GBM] can bring together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Formnext is the premier industrial additive manufacturing trade show in the world. The 2019 event featured 852 exhibitors and attracted 34,532 visitors, and the November 2022 show has more than 760 registered exhibitors. Formnext Chicago came as a result of a cooperation between Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, the organizers of Formnext, AMT, and Gardner Business Media \u2013 creating a unique part<\/a>nership beneficiary for the whole additive and manufacturing industry in the North American market.<\/p>\n

\u201cEOS has been engaged with both Formnext, AMT, and GBM for many years. The combined strengths of these three organizations brings exceptional value to the additive manufacturing industry and stimulates further peer-to-peer engagement,\u201d said Glynn Fletcher, president of EOS North America.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the AM show experience of Formnext, the manufacturing audience brought by AMT and IMTS, and the conference technology and media resources from GBM, we have created the most complete experience for those who want to invest in innovative capital AM technology,\u201d added Douglas K. Woods.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe group also invites other organizations to part<\/a>icipate in Formnext Chicago, as the goal is to build a coalition of leaders with broad appeal to the additive and manufacturing communities. In addition to Formnext Chicago in 2025, the part<\/a>nership has launched the Formnext Forum Austin (28-30 August, 2023) and the Formnext Forum co-located at IMTS 2024,\u201d said Petra Haarburger, president of Mesago Messe Frankfurt, Germany.<\/p>\n

The forums offer intimate and immersive learning experiences for attendees and are built around a robust conference schedule with an emphasis on sharing ideas and technology advancements in production 3D printing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Douglas K. Woods noted that there are 12 million people directly connected to the manufacturing industry in the United States. \u201cAs a still-evolving industry, much of the industrial manufacturing community is just beginning to explore and fully understand the production benefits of AM,\u201d he said. \u201cThe US-based Formnext events create more opportunities for jobs shops, OEMs, start<\/a>ups, and service providers. Formnext Chicago will expose them to different part<\/a>s of the supply chain and different part<\/a>s of the innovation cycle so that they can learn how to apply AM tech to their existing business and create new opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n

In support of bringing Formnext to the United States, a series of Formnext Forums will be held over the next two years. The first of which will be held in Austin, Texas, on 28-30 August, 2023.<\/p>\n
