Nano Dimension has signed and closed a definitive agreement to acquire Formatec Holding B.V (\u201cAdmatec\/Formatec\u201d), which includes its two subsidiaries \u2013 Admatec Europe B.V. (\u201cAdmatec\u201d) and Formatec Technical Ceramics B.V. (\u201cFormatec\u201d). In doing so, the company has also shed more light on the company\u2019s business and recent progress.<\/p>\n

Admatec\/Formatec, based in the Netherlands, is comprised of two complementary businesses operating together, which were part<\/a> of the U.S.-based Precision Surfacing Solutions. It is a leading developer and manufacturer of additive manufacturing and 3D printing<\/a> systems for ceramic and metal end-user part<\/a>s. Its industry-grade systems \u2013 powered by digital light processing technology \u2013 use materials with superior mechanic<\/a>al, electrical, thermal, biological, and chemical properties to produce an array of part<\/a>s for medical<\/a>, jewelry, industrial, and investment casting uses.<\/p>\n

Admatec\/Formatec\u2019s industrial production service division is a design-to-production part<\/a>ner for industrial-scale customers via its service bureau platform that combines the advantages of injection molding and additive manufacturing. Both means of production have served as a strategic advantage in working with customers, from early-stage ideas into serial production of end-use part<\/a>s.<\/p>\n

Admatec\/Formatec has shown promising financial results under the strenuous circumstances of its parent company, indicating that accelerated growth based on its innovative technology can be expected. The business delivered $5.3 million in revenue with a gross margin of 56% in 2021. Nano Dimension has paid a total cash sum of $12.9 million for Admatec\/Formatec (net of its cash).<\/p>\n
