Another element that makes this product stand out is that it was 3D printed using a bound metal filament extrusion technology. These technologies are enabling a dramatic reduction in the cost of 3D printing<\/a> metal part<\/a>s with less complex geometries, such as those required by many consumer<\/a> products, and this is the first commercially available consumer<\/a> product made with this additive process.<\/p>\n

This is not by far the first venture by Mutiny Shaving in the field of 3D printing<\/a> for reusable razor manufacturing. Its Ocean Waste hybrid razor, created from reclaimed, recycled Cornish fishing nets, has a unique handle and blade shield that are 3D printed using materials made from recycled fishing nets which are rescued or donated by the Cornish fleets, recycled in Cornwall and printed in Cornwall. It is part<\/a> of Mutiny\u2019s mission to create beautiful, reusable shaving products from reclaimed, recycled, sustainable materials.<\/p>\n

Another model, the Mutiny Hybrid razor, is a part<\/a> of a collaboration with Newport County Football Club. The 3D printed, eco razor celebrates the pride of Newport with a logo embossed blade shield and handle. It is 3D printed from recycled PLA which is created from totally sustainable cornstarch. Generating no manufacturing waste or transport pollution, it was designed, created, printed and packed locally in Newport, South Wales.<\/p>\n
