The AM systems feature ExOne\u2019s patented Triple Advanced Compaction Technology (ACT), developed to implement volume production.<\/p>\n<p>The deal is of p<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a>icular significance as SSI markets itself as a \u2013 among other things \u2014 a high volume manufacturer for verticals such as <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/automotive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">automotive<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/medical\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">medical<\/a> and other large industrial <a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/insights\/applications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">application<\/a> areas, which marks a dep<a href=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/news\/topics\/art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a>ure from the typical adopters of AM specializing in low volume manufacturing, tooling and prototyping. This is exactly the promise of metal binder jetting and this deal takes ExOne (and its mother company Desktop Metal) one step closer to achieving it.
