Danish robot 3D construction printer company COBOD International A \/ S, which produces large 3D print<\/a>ers for robot printing of buildings and wind turbine towers in concrete, submitted the financial accounts for 2020, which show that COBOD fiscal 2020 results generated profits of 9.3 million DKK (about \u20ac125,000), being profitable for the second year in a row after growing almost 100% (from 4.9 million DKK, about \u20ac65,000).<\/p>\n

This is a huge achievement for construction 3D print<\/a>ing<\/a>, showing the business is viable, especially as the company reports even higher growth in 2021 (when it undertook even larger projects), despite Corona, and promises to more than double revenues again this year. It is made even more significant by the fact that the financial data has been released publicly, still somewhat of a rarity in the young AM industry. The accounts also show that the company\u2019s order intake for the first few months of 2021 exceeded the total order intake for the whole of last year.<\/p>\n
