There is no denying that large-format sand and polymer binder jetting 3D print<\/a>er manufacturer Voxeljet has not had an easy time fully exploiting it\u2019s hardware\u2019s market potential. The company is too large to be as streamlined as a start<\/a>up and not large enough to move the marketing muscle of the HP\u2019s and EOS\u2019s of the polymer AM world. And not Silicon Valley enough to move investors as Carbon does. The new VX1000 HSS could change all this, giving Voxeljet a real and significant technological advantage over the competition: no one else has yet built a high-resolution polymer system capable of printing this much and this fast.<\/p>\n

Voxeljet\u2019s VX1000 HSS is going to be the largest high-speed 3D printer on the market<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

Voxeljet\u2019s high-speed sintering (HSS) process is broadly comparable to HP\u2019s multiJet fusion MJF<\/a> and can produce plastic part<\/a>s with mechanic<\/a>al properties comparable to laser sintering and injection molding. The key advantages are the speed and scalability of the process, the variety of possible materials, and as for most polymer PBF processes \u2013 the elimination of support structures.<\/p>\n

In addition, Voxeljet is supporting materials such as nylon, TPU and PP while also making the HSS 3D print<\/a>ers available with an open materials system which means customers can individually adjust the process parameters to their own materials.<\/p>\n
