Miklosi won the &#8220;Red Dot: Best Design Award&#8221; in 2019 and recently created an open-source IKEA hack mini brand called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uppgradera.co\/\">Uppgradera<\/a>, which means &#8220;upgrade, improve, enhance, customize, update and reform in Swedish&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The brand\u2019s website states: \u201cUppgradera is not affiliated with IKEA.\u201d \u201cOpening new horizons in product development is a pure fun\/supporter program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-160817 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/IkeaHack-collection-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"479\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is his first open-source hack series, inspired by the IKEA household products he usually uses and how to modify them.<\/p>\n<p>Miklosi wrote on the Uppgradera website: &#8220;My idea is to use 3D printing to supplement the original design and correct my experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My goal is to design products that can solve practical problems and have a little &#8220;uppgradera&#8221;, so that the user experience is more pleasant and efficient.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The series went live earlier this week and consists of six ingenious 3D printable accessories that should make its attached IKEA products easier to use.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-160816 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/NAVLINGE-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"479\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-160815 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/NAVLINGE-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"479\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first of these accessories is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uppgradera.co\/collection-1\/na01\">N\u00c401<\/a>, which was made to enhance the N\u00c4VLINGE reading light&#8230; As a fanatical reader, this undoubtedly aroused my interest. IKEA lights have high-power LED lights, but there are no shadows, so the light hits your eyes directly. The 3D printed N\u00c401hack is a simple shade that can be clipped to a lamp, making it a more attractive light source for work or reading a good book.<\/p>\n<p>IKEA&#8217;s KLIPSK bed tray is perfect for people who want to have brunch or snacks in bed. Unfortunately, it is made of a very smooth material, so any glass placed on the tray can easily slip off and cause confusion. It is designed to prevent wrinkles and frayed fabrics for longer use, and it also reduces the weight of the shirt itself.<\/p>\n<p>The next product in the Uppgradera series is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uppgradera.co\/collection-1\/ek01\">EK01<\/a>, which is a drying net for EKOLN toothbrush holders.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-160810 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/EKOLN-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"479\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-160809 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/EKOLN-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"479\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The website explains: \u201cOn the bottom of the EKORN toothbrush holder, water dripping from the toothbrush will accumulate.\u201d \u201cResidual toothpaste is a breeding ground for bacteria. It also helps deposits on the bottom of the toothbrush.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Enter the 3D printed EK01, which can be placed in the EKOLN toothbrush holder to keep the toothbrush above the bottom. This will evaporate the collected water and provide continuous ventilation, so sediment and bacteria will not accumulate quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Another popular product from IKEA is the ENUDDEN soap dish.
